I was struck with disappointment also by Mayweather Maidana2 also, meaning by Floyd's cowardly ring antics. Floyd vs Pacman wasn't so much a break because of the injury but because he didn't fight him when they were both in their prime. Pacman is an active volume puncher. Back in 2010, 2009, 2011……he was a tornado of punches! He was a totally different fighter at that time and that's why Floyd waited to fight him until the guy slowed down some. Floyd's defensive technician fighting style is far less effected by aging.
