    She was diabetic? Wow, that could definitely be a cause of her actions. If she or her family knew she was diabetic and didn't seek treatment, is that criminal responsibility? I wonder.

    Diabetes can cause very low blood sugar only if the person is taking insulin. I am a type one diabetic and I can see how a blood sugar of 20-70 can cause aloss of cognitive functions and mental state. One time my blood sugar dropped really fast while I was driving. I saw that the light was red. By the time I was able to figure out that I needed to press the brake I was through the light. I pulled over and drank some sugar.
