I can't stand it when the ball bounces after a strikeout and the guy gives himself up. He can't run 90 feet? At least make him throw the ball, it may be that 1/10000 chance that the ball will get away and your team will have a baserunner, instead of giving the other team a free out.
Before I fell in love with baseball, I fell in love with Randy Johnson. He was just one of the bloodiest strikeout killers. – Antes que me interesara ver el juego de pelota, yo era loco con Randy Johnson. Es que era un pitcher BRUTAL!
Wow those Cincinnati hitters look terrible. I went back and looked at their record from that year and was very surprised to see they finished over .500.
"I took a lot of different things that, you know, maybe at that time, maybe early enough if I would've been tested, who knows? I could have been taking stuff had they tested me back then. Maybe I would have tested (positive for a banned supplement). I don't know."
He made this interesting comment after the release of the Mitchell report when players who failed drug tests were being outed. Sounds like a "I didn't know what I was taking" defense in case his name came out.
damn mark grace been in some historical games he also played first when kerry wood struck out 20 as well and was in the game when sammy hit 61 and was in the game when mcgwire hit 61 homers.

Such a unique player. Everything about him, size, skill, look and technique was so original and memorable.

So did he lose the game? or was it tied? I was surprised when he wasn't shaking hands at the end.

One of the top 3 pitchers of all time IMO. Just completely dominant.
Johnson during his career was endorsed Champion Nutrition, a company that was linked to Mark McGwire and androstenedione.
I was at this game- a real thrill to see history. These ML hitters were helpless.
His pitches look like they are coming from first base
I wish I had the chance to see him pitch when I was a kid
Disgusting!!
That slider is just…wow…unfair.
At age 37, yeesh
1 word for Randy Johnson- NASTY!!!!!!!!!!
He had his slider going that night, straight-up nasty
How many innings was this game?
