The whole Civil War thing was created by big money people wanting to get their hooks into the cotton industry of the South. These money people used the slavery issue to stir people, to get them to fight they south, so that they could ultimately take over the cotton industry. And when the fighting was over, Lincoln would not agree to the reconstruction era, which would take the plantations away from the rightful owners and place them in the hands of the carpetbaggers of the north. And this led to Lincoln assassination. As long as people do not understand history, they will continue to make stupid decisions. The Confederate Flag is history. It represents a number of states that fought Federal Government over reach on states rights. With all that said, I wish slavery had never been a part of history, but people also need to know that blacks were the ones responsible for it. Strong black tribes in Africa, enslaved weaker tribes, and also sold them to the Dutch slavers, who took them all over the world, and sold them further into slavery.
