Nole at his peak. These days he is very good but i haven't seen him play from the baseline so good (both with the forehand and backhand) since 2011.

All I see is Nadal running around the court like a chicken with his head cut off, lobbing balls back to Novak. Let's not forget he's standing 12 feet behind the baseline.

LOL i loved Djokovic's reaction after winning the point. Like: whataya want from me? no matter how much you defend, imma beat you, love the attacking and the power of the shots, amazing!!!

I'd like to post a refutation to all the previous comments out below.

    1. You say that Nadal is very dull. Sure, Nadal's hitting balls back and forth, but if you wanted to see show points, you'd be better off looking at Monfils instead of this. Nadal's not playing for you to be entertained, critics. Rafa's playing to win this, and if that means he isn't making highlight reels every other point, he's going to do it whether you like it or not.

    2. Specifically to "Naam" – his strokes are technical marvels. When Rafa's feeling good, his forehand is absolutely vicious. I suppose you've never bothered to watch the USO final from 2010, where Rafa can be seen hitting huge shots off of both wings quite frequently (especially in the highlights!).

    3. The "best" point in tennis is obviously subjective, but speaking of defense, this is probably one of the most outstanding points out there. If you're looking for the rally where players are going for winners every single shot, why the heck are you watching Nadal? Nadal waits, then hits. Tennis is as much about defense as it is about offense.

All in all, players make it to the USO final not by taking insane risks every shot, but by playing well. You don't make it through seven matches without playing at a high level. To argue otherwise demonstrates a lack of knowledge – or perhaps a lack of practical experience on the court – about the sport and the people who play it.

nadal lost the point, but he isan incredible exiting player to watch. i dont know why people hate on him, they shouldappreciate his great defending skills but instead of that some people hate on him. it is because of nadal the point was so exiting, if there was an another player instead of nadal then djoko would have hit the winner much earlier. and thats why federer-fans hate nadal because he is able to bring back many of federersshots which would be winners against other players. but this people dont recognize that defense is a part of the game but nadal can also hit incredible winners. it is just he likes to play longer rallys and i like that because we need different players with different styles. it would be boring if nadal had the same style like federer. in germany we would say, rafael nadalis the "salt in the soup"!

I wouldve reacted the same way as djokovic. Nadal is like a "wall", in a bad way. He just returns returns returns all the balls until the other player makes a mistake. Every now and then he makes a winner shot, but not often. But thats his playstyle and hey, it works for him and its made him one of the top players in history. So being djokovic, id be VERY frustrated that this guy (nadal) keeps returning all my shots. So after a while of rallying, i make a winner shot like djokovic did here… Hell yeah id be like "yeah! return THAT, bitch!"

this was not the best point of the match. the best point was in the fourth set by nadal. the crushing backhand from nadal was more impressive than this point. nadals backhand also can be a very big weapon but unfortunately he does not hit his backhand always hard only sometimes.
