Feeling sad and i think this is making me feel worse (i don't care what anyone says i think he's amazing here) the man was only human after all "i just feel sad for him for the pain he was in but he got on that stage and gave it all for his fans and that's why he is and always will be the king

Compared to today, Elvis was just a little overweight. Not like that talk about him back in the day.

Honestly…screw people who don't think Elvis was awesome in this concert. His digestive ailment was severe and life-threatening at this time in his life and he was in pain. But he gave it his all and that audience is receiving his gifts…that he gave with abandon. Elvis gave his all and his talent is every bit present. He is worn out and sick but still extraordinarily talented and putting himself out there. And giving 110%. Don't tell me that isn't admirable.

I don't know if its the camera angles or what but he doesn't look near as heavy here as he does at other shows on this same tour. He really doesn't look that bad here. I see a hundred people a day who are way fatter than he was here! He doesn't look near as bloated here as he did during concerts just a few days earlier. It had to be hard on him though. His weight constantly fluctuating. never the less, still the KING ! Even at his worst he was light years better than anyone and everyone else at their best !!!

I was still a little tot when EP hit the spotlight, my parents, 4 of us girls, my aunt & her 2 girls and my uncle all lived in a 2 BR house………which makes me relate to how Elvis had to live. All of us had to double up, sometimes triple up in the beds, no room to move around so being outside was a gift, a small front porch where we sat and ate our meals. The point being, I take it very personally when people try to make it an incestuous thing because Elvis slept with his parents…….they don't say "parents", they always say he slept with his mom until they could finally move into a larger place in Memphis and the insinuations made about his love life are always directed related to him "sleeping" with his mom. Elvis Presley was much younger than his years, he was naive' though extremely intelligent; the light in his eyes shines so brightly in pictures of him t 10-12 and up to the time his mom died……………the light went out then, there was such an emptiness inside him even he couldn't understand, he lived with the fear of losing someone he could love as much as he loved his mom and consequently relationships didn't last very long because he would get frightened a woman would do what Priscilla did…………………say I love you then walk off with someone else and he didn't know how to fight against something like that, he didn't understand just exactly what his part was in relationships with women but then why should he………..he was successful, everyone climbed over each other trying to get close enough to him to be picked as a member of his entourage so they could also reap the benefits and of course he could have any woman he wanted out of any audience he performed in front of, which he did, and had all the love in the world being showered upon him day in and day out so it was easy for him to justify relationships that didn't work, or feelings he couldn't hold onto. From the end of 76 up to Aug. 77 his weight fluctuated not because he was fat but more because of bloating and swelling due to several of his health issues, he was in constant and severe pain, serious pain, his insomnia had become even worse than it had been since he was around 8 yrs old and knowing he has one or two shows in just a few hours time actually made sleeping even more of an enemy for him. He got on that stage because he loved performing, he loved singing and he loved an audience; he knew his whole life he had been blessed with an enormous gift from God and he also knew God meant he should share it with the world. This is what Elvis Presley was……..a man who loved his mom as he was supposed to, a man who loved his God more than anything else, an honorable man with a kind, loving, generous and considerate heart, a simple man who didn't understand "why him" with this enormous talent but because of his teachings as a kid and his knowledge of the Bible and God, he accepted it and gave us his all until he was completely worn out, drained of all his energy, tired of fighting the pain and all the health issues and he prayed for God to take him HOME where he could have some rest and peace. I miss him, we all miss him and because we do we keep him alive in our hearts through his music and videos and I know for me, I'm so happy to watch his concerts I forget for alittle while that he is gone. I am thankful to JD and Charlie and Kathy Westmoreland, those three that he held closer to his heart and knew he could trust enough to talk to each of them about all his problems………………

Hey guys, its my Dads 48th birthday on the 14th of May, and I've set up this channel to show his covers of Elvis songs without him knowing. He recorded them about 10 years ago, and never got any recognition for his amazing voice. I would appreciate if you checked out this channel and give him the recognition now

    Thanks Guys
