You guys realize that Google does the same thing? These are the same guys who worship everything Google does LOL. Android, Chrome and the Chromebooks are all spyware infected by Google. They track everything about you.

I jumped ahead before I posted. Silly me. Apologies.
I agree that it needs to be defaulted to be off.

installed it today on my old test system…
there is a lot of bullshittery that needs to be turned off.
a lot of tracking yes, but you can turn that all (i think?) off in the install process already if you just look out for the advanced options (which you should always do in every install EVER anyway, all companies love to hide crap in there that you might not want).

imho worse: Windows Update is sharing its update files via peer 2 peer (basically Bit Torrent) over the internet, you want to shut that off, in particular if you have a bandwidth cap this can bite you in the ass.
But i think it is nice that you can limit it to the local network, so if you install a 2nd PC in a year from now and there are 100 updates it will just grab them from a PC in your LAN, should go a lot faster than downloading them from the Internet.

Cortana… i don't even know what that thing is supposed to be good for… no need.
The "inking" on websites… you can do that with your mouse too. seems stupid but it works…
all in all it feels like always, its an even more noobified Windows Version than the last one (they call it "user friendly" i call it noobified) with more tracking BS that needs disabling.
Just now it has a Windows App Shop and even Xbox stuff…

The Pro(fessional) Version has Xbox stuff, i'm sure all the companies will love having that on their PCs. Friggen Solitaire told me to log in to Xbox and shoved those moronic Xbox Avatars in my face!

but after all, there is still Windows hiding under all the BS that you need to disable and uninstall and after some customizing it looks like something i probably will not hate using.
And then there is of course the real fucking reason i'm going to use it DirectX 12.
