Most intimate and smallest venue I caught for a GD show. The Tampa Skyway Bridge from top to bottom was full of heads looking for tickets. Uptown Toodeloo ->Never Trust a Woman opener was sick but To Lay Me Down put the icing on the cake.
These are indeed fine shows. Kinda deceptive, takes a couple of listens to really how "subtly on" they are. I;m a local boy, but missed these. Fl shows tended to be above average: Gainesville '80, Miami '80 and '85, Lakeland '77, Tampas galore. Gotta be the weather and the very cool vibe!
Was a beautiful night inFLA. .I was young and it was warm enough that we all slept in the back of a toyota pick up truch also remember the Happy Hollow !
I also remember at least the night before there was like an AARP convention so going to the door of the venue there was a mix between old people and heads. Great memories of a simpler time. Killer sound on this video.
Search for St Pete 1988 and get the real set list. It is not this show, although this is good, this was sometime later, post the release of Built To Last.

"Patience runs out on the bunny." LOL! That's what Weir sings at the opening of Victim. Guess that was his birthday joke.
About 7 minutes into 1/2 Step Jerry's guitar tones really hit stride and are trip down memory lane.

These were very good shows as I went to both with friends from school in Jax. This also was the smallest venue I saw them in. The other Bay Area.
cool flyer

What a great first set which is what I have watched so far. I almost like it better than the night before which was my first show.
SWEEEEEEEEEET……………………
Is the B.F.C. still standing or has it been remodeled? Like the rest of the G.D. world?
Smallest venue I ever saw the boys in
Memorable night for sure!
I was not aware they played two nights. Must have slept in…
