Could anyone recommend an 80's show this good, please? My faves are Alpine '89 and Rich Stadium '89. I was at both shows. Unbelievable. Watch the DVDs of the shows.

I was at thisWhere's the complete part w/Mr. Dylan? The audio is out of sync with picture, it seems someone deliberately fucked this up since Dylan might have been reluctant to have it released? This isfar fromall of it. It's missing "I Want You", one of the best "It's All over now Baby Blue" I've ever heard (I've got all the audio tapes of these 3 western shows)and a bunch of other goodies! This was the best one on the West Coast with him although Oregon was mighty good too; yet even Anaheim had it's moments! Furthermore, what's up with the edited picture presumably from another show, in the middle of "Maggie's Farm" suddenly with Dylan with a hat on and then not and then on again andthen not again; or do those shots come from later on within "All along the Watchtower" i.e. they don't even correspond to the correct song? I'm alsosorry to say, I felt Garcia was sorelya tad rustyon the pedal steal perhaps I'm wrong? Being the one and only time I ever saw him play it live as havingonly seen him play a banjo once with David Grisman as well!

I've been missing out on good musical art.

i was just reading comments from a show in 81. several different heads claim there isn't any good shows after 81. im sorry i have no idea what they are on, but im a guitarist and Jerry is on fire at this show. we all have our ups and downs but at the end of the day or month or whatever we are who we are he was an amazing musician who in my mind if anything got better and better til the day he left us all. thank you Jerry your contribution to this life, we will hopefully all be blessed to cross paths again in the next.

Out of all the Dead songs from the 80's, IMO, When Push Comes To Shove is one of the most underplayed ones. I always loved the way it grooves.

What a difference YouTube makes. I got into the Dead right after Brent Mydland died. I heard a lot of bootlegs from various eras, but pretty much figured the energy had been gone for a while. Saw one show in Chicago in '92, which reinforced that feeling. Had no idea what Brent obviously brought to the band and how fresh and full of life they still were up till he died. So bittersweet watching these great shows.
