Maybe I'm just a sentimental old long haired freek, but, damn, I still miss the Dead and especially Jerry. First saw them live when they were still the Warlocks. I turn 64 July 2 and the next day the boys play the final shows EVER to celebrate 50 years of the Dead. Wish It would never end, but even immortals have to rest I guess.

If I had one magic wish it would be for Jerry and Pigpen to be there too. Rest well, guys and thanks for the music.I'm smiling and crying at the same time.

There's not enough Grateful Dead posts on Google+ so here goes. Get some more Dead in your lives people. Just because Jerry is gone and they have all got old and weird and let that dork from Phish run their shit, it doesn't mean they aren't relevant anymore. Cheers!!

Amazing video, amazing audio quality. Sounds like this was remastered. Is this entirething from the Grateful Dead Movie? I have it in a box somewhere with all my old dvds… I do have a soundboard recording of the 10-17 show on my computer, but the audio is nothing like this

This is a phenomenal show and I thank the person who posted it for sharing. Whether it is here or there, I am always thankful for the amount of available GD music; as well as their willingness to share it.
Best, and most accurate, quote ever is by BIll Graham, and excuse me if I am off a bit, "they aren't the best at what they do, they are the only ones that do what they do!"!

Was at 2 of these. Being from Santa Cruz, Winterland was home base for the best shows. A short drive up and back. They were tight and at their best. It compares to the spring 77 tour. The last I was them live was June 9th at Winterland before it was closed.
