6:06 – lol, for a second there, I thought I was the only one who didn't get Bibbs 'heart-heart' reference. Forgot that a 'hart' is an adult male deer

Man, this show is such a trip. Every week I just sit back and let it take me where ever it is going. It's fucking amazing.

I don't know any casual Hannibal fans. I know a few people who are pretty much at the same level of "OMG, BEST SHOW ON TV" as I am. Mostly people that have never seen a minute of it. And one person that didn't like it, and in that case it's specifically because he can't appreciate Mikkelsen's Lecter as it's own thing. Hopkins is great. Legendary even. But, sorry. Mikkelsen is more interesting.

I think one of the absolute best things about Hannibal is how it's not afraid to be challenging or to change the tone of the show with the plot advancement. It's a slow burn, but the shows' best moments have been possible because of patience and not being afraid to take their time to prepare the best meal.

In all honesty, I never want to see another killer of the week again. I never enjoyed that format. That being said, I continued watching through seasons one and two because I understood that there was something about this show that deserved my attention. I had faith that it might ditch that format someday. And now it's finally here!

I've always assumed that the killer of the week format had more to do with NBC's requirements than Bryan Fuller's wishes. Now that Fuller has proven that he is obviously capable of creating something of merit, I'm sure NBC thought it would be a smarter business move to grant him even more freedom. Because, let's face it, the show has always dealt with a low viewership.

Granted I am one of those "die hards," but I say yes to languorous, and yes to atmosphere and character. If it ever became about car chases then it would lose me.

It scares you guys to watch this alone at night?!?
Must be something wrong with me…
I can watch this late at night alone in my house and sleep like a baby afterwards with a smile on my face…
It also makes me want to cook and eat meat when they show an episode with Hannibal cooking someone he just killed… xD

Anyone else find it so facinating how this is probably one of the beautiful shows? The content is disgusting and horrifying and terrible…but it's done so visually great.

Thought it was great and loved the fucked up stag heart thingy and the red ocean that consumed Will and Abigal at the start. Loved the acting and writing was great for me– it was really epic the flashback of Hannibal as a youth. Yeah not much happened in the episode but it ended faster for me then the first episode. The show wont lose me, unless Hannibal gets turned into a hero rather then a very nasty villain.

BIBS, I watch the show (Hannibal) on a streaming site. There are a lot of comments there from people who are already annoyed and bored with the way this season is going. Of course I think that they're crazy, and I'm in for the long haul. My attention span can handle a slow burn. (and we're only two episodes in fer chrissake!) But you're not wrong when you say that they might possibly be losing people. I'm seeing a lot of negative comments about these last two shows.

The thing about this episode was that even though there was too much dialogue, there wasnt't much dialogue. Meaning there are not many lines spoken, but the visuals as usual were amazing. I feel like this is the calm before the storm, shit is gonna hit the fan by mid season and then we'll pray for the calm.

Alonso looks a little nervous in this review. I think Bibbiani has done more research and has things fresher since he's watching it again with his girlfriend and has read the books. Anyway great review! I love this two episodes so far. I love quiet and I noticed that too.
