Fun Fact : When a couple goes to a restaurant in Italy the usual or customary is for them to share one antipasto, order individual primavera, and then share a secondo.

IMO the HAnnibal-Icepick scene is in my top-5 Hannibal-moments in the entire series, omg that was so great. Such an awesome depiction of how utterly shocked and…well, re-wired and fucked you would be if you had an ice-pick driven into your brain with surgical precision. I bet Hannibal knew EXACTLY where to strike (the dude possibly could have lived with near-immediate surgery…though it looks like he'd be a blind, laughing buffoon, hahahah….oh man….so good)

Origin stories are a tricky thing. Its good to have an origin story, to know where a person came from. But the problem with origin stories is that we don't want to explain why a character is the way he is. We don't want to demystify the character. The unknown is more frightening. Hannibal Rising apparently went too far in explaining why Hannibal is the way he is and that is the reason that book is not very well liked with the audience.
Hannibal said it the best. "Nothing happened to me. I happened."

I think Will already became like hannibal – he is manipulating people. Like in this episode with Chyo.
i had in mind that, Will made prison rescue, cause he knew that guy in prison will go back and try to kill her. And just let her to decide the way – get rid of hannibals task for her(prisoner) and join the hunt with him(cause she knows where hannibal is)

As to your discussion on Hannibal's origins. Since Hannibal Rising is the least popular book in the series, bryan fuller has sort of rewrote the rules regarding it as it defeats the mystery and darkness of Hannibal to say he is all he is because his sister being eaten. As will says in the episode "Mischa doesn't explain Hannibal. She doesn't quantify what he is". I like this episode for showing some of Hannibal's origins, yet not really explaining it and leaving the viewer left to figure out the mystery of Hannibal for themselves.

They've already said there's going to be some sort of time jump and when they return to Will he's married. Maybe this woman will be his wife.

Odd as it sounds…I don't even watch Hannibal anymore, because watching it was too terrifying. But, I follow it through this podcast, because the panel is superb.

Bryan Fuller said that they will not give the full background of Hannibal and Mischa; to do so would diminish how frightening Hannibal is and take away some of the mystery. Instead, he emphasizes that Hannibal is who he is and nothing caused it. "Nothing happened to me. I happened." (which is from the book The Silence of the Lambs). He even has Will reiterate that when he tells Chiyoh that what happened to Mischa does not quantify what Hannibal became. So, I think we will always have unanswered questions about Hannibal's childhood and what happened to Mischa.

My theory, and there are a bunch of different ones on Tumblr/Twitter, in regards to the firefly guy is that it represents the imago (the final stage of Will's transformation). Some have also said perhaps it represents the act of Chiyoh being set free (or maybe Will being set free) of Hannibal's grasp.

I love how they are reinventing the origin history, explaining little things but not too much. Giving one motive for Hannibal be to way he is (like in Hannibal rising), is just so cliche.I think the line "Nothing happened with me. I happened', that Hannibal says to Bedelia, illustrate that. Mads says he plays the character like he was the Devil, so letting the mystery going on is much more interesting.
Will and Hannibal relationship is fascinating, because they are in love, but is not in sexual level, is mental level, is a profound sense of understanding. Things that just have when they are together.
Oh and like always I enjoy your comments guys and absolutely loved the new addition to the group, just missed Mister yellow shirt.

Will could have made the dude into a moth not a firefly…I see a connection between the cover of the book "Silence of the Lambs". Maybe that can be related to that?

Im really interested how Hannibal manipulated Chyo to guard that prisoner for such a long time and didnt even had to check on her while doing the job. Also I predict for the future that Hannibal decides to go home and will find the dead prisonder that Will left him and becomes even more thrilled to find and kill Will himself. I wonder if Hannibals philosophy for forgiving someone is to actually to eat them it would explain why hes so obsessed with eating the people who are rude to him.
