This is an interesting sketch of music that could have been- I think page has the masters. You can hear pages telecaster on the last demo

I love getting these glimpses in to the process. It's rough, for sure, but I love it anyway. R.I.P. Chris. You changed the way I write and play.

There's nothing memorable in this material…this is the first time I've heard it and it's "ok", nothing special.

i hate to say it but Chris Squire has shown that he is ultimately an arsehole. i liked "Fly From Here." that happened because Jon Anderson got sick, and Squire fired him w/o telling him, and hired cover guy Benoit David, who i really feel sorry for. then he got sick on tour, and rather than wait for him to recover, Squire fired him too,,. and let him find out he was out of a job the same way Anderson did: from the media! then he hired another copycat, Jon Davidson, and they went out doing Fly From Here, and later "classics" tours. Squire has all the consideration of a sea urchin. frack him and frack this vision of opportunists acting like Yes. he is a capitalist plain and simple trying to make that last buck. what happened to all that Buddhist universal love and kindness?? it is in Squire's bank account. that's where. dipshit. my brother saw this band and said they were good. i don't care. i saw Yes about 12 times up to 1994. enuf already. Symphonic Yes from 2001 was about their best statement w/ all those enthusiastic young people. i am not that interested anymore. Squire's behaviour is reprehensible!

A lot of great seeds in here.
I suspect Page was sniffing around the Yes circle because he was interested in starting what is now known as The Firm (a highly underrated_ project). His intention was to get Bill Bruford on drums and Pino Palladino on bass along with him and Paul Rogers. I would've given my left nut to hear that lineup!

Since Chris now has AEL, an acute form of leukemia, the bass role in Yes is given to Sherwood, who is, no doubt qualified to wear those shoes. Good luck Chris.
