I was on an emotional high watching this movie. I cried for many reasons: I cried for Samuel's death in battle. I cried for Tristan's grief and incredible guilt being unable to save him. I cried for Susannah, losing Samuel. I also cried when she fell in love with a man [Tristan] who could not [at the time] love her back. I cried for the damage his exile did to her. I cried for her efforts in trying to get him to stay [and TRY to love her back] by suggesting having a baby [and naming him Samuel]. I cried for Albert, who through loving Susannah, experienced unrequited love. I cried when Tristan returned and asked for her and then learned she had moved on with his brother [Alfred] I CRRRIIIED to Susannah's reaction when she saw that Tristan had gotten married and had a BABY with Isabella Two. I BAWWLLLED when she heard that they named him Samuel. I cried for Isabella Two's unfortunate death [Tristan loved her dearly] I cried when Susannah visited Tristan in jail and was filled with so much passion and jealousy that she'd admit to Tristan she perhaps had wanted his wife to die. I cried because she couldnt move on. She loved him back when he took her virginity and he also at that time was her consolation when Samuel died, and she loved him still. I cried when he told her to go home. I cried when she committed suicide. I cried when Alfred [more than ever] saw how loving Tristan and never being able to have him drove her to take her life. And finally, [assuming you're still reading] i cried when Alfred came back home and defended his father who maliced him for many years. This is one of the most beautiful movies i've ever seen and its also not just a movie. It's life. Thank you for reading. My boyfriend wouldn't understand cause i'm still trying to get him to see it. BTW the soundtrack is EVERYTHING!!

RIP James Horner. Your music brought to life so many magic screen moments. Many will talk of hits such as My Heart Will Go On and Somewhere Out There… or the scores for Braveheart or Titanic. But for me it was always the Ludlows…. Legends of the Fall. The tragic yet triumphant story of one American Family. Thank you James for sharing your talent with the world.

James Horner – you weren't just a composer, my favourite as well, but you were a legend. Your genius will be remembered throughout history. Heaven will shine so much brighter with your presence, although I am devastated that we have lost you way too soon. RIP my friend.
