I was 11 when I got my first phone but I needed it because after school I had to walk home. So my parents wanted to make sure I had a phone just incase something happened. I feel like if kids don't NEED a phone then they shouldn't have one and need one I mean to keep in touch with parents not for instagram and twitter. Go play with some toys and be kids
Everyone makes it seem like getting their kids phones after a certain age is better but in this time of day there are so little phone booths or anything so getting them a phone earlier is better as a precaution. a nokia ofc. or a flip phone. cuz gotta start from the bottom.

My friends all had phones in elementary but I didnt get one until I was 14. Even then it was not a smart phone. I didn't get one until I was 16. Definitely makes me appreciate it a little more.
