Yes she is on pointe but the style of dance is not classical ballet, it's very contemporary ..lol ..I also did not see physics being defied but that is the silliness of whoever posted it..but what this does show, in addition to her amazing body lol, is why the Arsenio Hall show should NOT have been canceled. No one else would have this type of segment on their show. The JD person below must just be trying to piss people off..lol..you can't possibly be that ignorant saying she isn't good at ballet, she is a ballet superstar, she would not be dancing with ABT if she was no good at ballet..and this is after beginning late in ballet at age 13… most dancers often do different styles of dance..she just isn't doing classical ballet here…what is actually more impressive is that she is a classically trained ballerina, but can move like this! THAT is not found in every ballet dancer.
She is very good and special for some reasons I guess, but not great neither outstanding as the out of this world dancers like Sylvie Guillem, Julia Kent, Aurelie Dupont, Alessandra Ferri, Alina Cojocaru , Marianela Nunez, Beatrice Knop, etc.without mentioningthe Russian dancers Natalia Osipova, Evgenia Obraztsova, Svetlana Lunkinaand Svetlana Zakharova, and so many others. She does benefitfrom a lot marketing and advertising because she is Afro-American, short and muscular, which israre fora ballerina. I am glad she has her fans though and abrightcareer.
Absolutely phenomenal. Coming from someone who is not very familiar with ballet, watching this is a real treat. And considering she is a mega star ballerina I'm sure it's amazing to anyone's eyes to watch that body move so magically.

The actual music she choreographed this to is much better; Her movement is actually in sync with the rhythm.
