Redford deserves credit for finally getting this project finished, but he's a lot older than Bryson was when he walked the trail. Bryson and Katz were in their 40s, not their 70s.

Just saw the portion of the movie about the visit to the campsite by bears. What a crock. The original story is nothing like this – it lets you wonder whether Bryson/Katz were actually visited by bears or not – and – it contains one of the book's funniest exchanges between Bryson and Katz which is not in the movie. Not only that but in the movie they go completely overboard with the bears and have them standing up, roaring and mugging for the camera like some cheap commercial on TV. They also show grizzly's not black bears. Last but not least – Redford and Nolte? Gads

I am really excited to see the film. It was a very memorable job working as Nick Nolte's Photo Double and Stand-In the entire production.
