Many forget that this time last year Serena hadn't won a grand slam for the year and was in dire straits. It takes a lot mentally, emotionally, and physically to win a slam. Whenever a player is on a winning streak, people tend to take it for granted and don't give the player their full credit. I hope the crowd in NY gives Serena her due and support her efforts to win the tournament.

Give it up to Chris Evert, she can keep that plastic face throughout. Pam just looks sour the whole time. I wonder what's behind that face…hmmmm.**

Silly overtly loaded biased question in the end!

What do you think is your greatest strength?
Physical or Mental?………..bet she was expecting her to say physical, as if strength is what places those serves at the "T" or in the corners under pressure @0-40 down?
Silly Chris, i guess caucasians can't help themselves, i await them asking the girl with the fastest serve EVER at 131mph Lisciki, if her strength is physical?!!! Effing bigots.

Chris is a bastard for that quick question she snuck in at the last moment. I mean, duuuh…of course it's mental. Then she's like "got it!" Yeah, we got your number Evert lol! I used to like her but I'm not so sure anymore. Still got John though. He's never shady toward Serena!**

They hate her. All Hail Serena!

(Notice how they put Federers scores up against hers as if to demote her acheivements and that question at the end wtf?)

The Championship point was the mostsubdued ending of a match I've ever seen…everybody in the stadion was confused LOL! I'm hoping for Serena's elbow to heal so she can play at Stanford cause these courts play exactly like the USO courts, if she does well there then its gonna give her lots of confidence towards the USO!

Love that sneaky question at the end, what's your best strength mental or physical, are you serious! She has both in the bag and you was expecting her to say physical! She threw egg on face by giving you wrong response because Serena is a smart girl.

She has a great character! That head balancing act reminded of Indian women who balance their water pots after filling it up from the well. hehe just my reflection

Serena is also really cool even with so much competition. Rooting for you Serena. God Bless

Love it how Serena doesn't play it their game but her game in these pointless interviews. Love her deviant side.

I am proud of both Serena, and Venus Williams. Win or lose, I still admire her. I hope she plays past the 2016 Olympics. Her Wimbledon draw was very difficult, and I thought she hadlost to Heather Watson, but a winner doesn't give up, and she prevailed. An excellent match against Venus Williams, and Victoria Azarenka, they both made her earn it.
I didn't think Chris Evert was wrong in asking the question which is hardest for her, themental or physical. We have all seen Serena get flustered and start making errors, and besides I have seen Chris Evert defend Serena, when other commentators are critical of her. I believe she asked the question because it was an interview for the viewers, everyone who watches her game knows it isn't the physical part that is the hardest. The only one who can beat Serena is Serena. I am her biggest supporter, and fan, and yes I am African-American.
