Christian pastors ritually molest Christian children in a Christian Church = Satanism.. I guess whenever something goes wrong in the Christian faith you just blame Satan.
There's something really odd about this case, and it seems way too similar to the other satanic panic cases from twenty years ago. There's no physical evidence, the only two witnesses later recanted, and the mannerisms of the two pastors during their confessions come across as really bizarre. The only real evidence we have are the confessions, but even the innocent people from the original cases often confessed. After looking at the case as a whole I really don't think any of this happened.
I don't believe religion was entirely to blame. Religion was used as a tool manipulate and l torture children, much how like guns can be used to kill people. What matters is WHO used the tools, not the tools themselves. I'm not a religious person, but it doesn't make you look smart to automatically blame religion for crimes such as this.
I'm agnostic, but this whole snide and pretentiously cynical anti-Christian/Religion attitude is really, really, dumb. Ever heard of the term, "Religion doesn't cause violence. Religion is used as an excuse for violence"? Also, I don't see how everyone's blaming Christianity for this, when they were clearly worshiping Satan (drinking animal blood in the name of Satan sorta gives it away) and using a Christian church cover. I don't get why people think somehow this small little fucked up sect, represents all Christians or religion. Obviously, the majority of Christians/religious people don't go out murdering people in the name of Satan, or molesting children like Herbert the Pervert. PS: I find it funny that all the religion/Christian haters here, say Christians/religious people "shove their beliefs" down peoples' throats, yet, I see no comments where Christians have a profile picture of the Bible and typing in all caps, "BE SAVED!
