This odd obsession Afrocentrics have with his skin tone is total rape of history and does nothing for anyone. He was a descendant of the Phoenecian peoples. They were light skinned people, or olive skinned from what is now Lebanon & Syria. Most of North Africa was the same, from there or Greece. Egypt was more mixed but even then most of the aristocracy after a time were descended from Greeks. You also need to ask yourself 'What's Black?' What is 'white'? Is there a chart somewhere where you can label a person a colour? This whole debate is bullshit. Stop obsessing over skin tones. The fact was he probably looked like what most Tunisians look like now. The Arab expansions did not have that great an influence on the local gene pools. They conquered, set up forts, and ruled by taxes and violence. Mass conversions happened over time.

He is the greatest among all the generals in the human history. people still doesn't figure out how he fed his troops in the enemy base without any help around 10 years. Also his troops consist of mercenary and he didn't pay for them for a long time. that is really mysterious. Most important thing is Rome was his enemy, the strongest warriors in Mediterranean.

napoleon was the greatest general in history, not alexander, not hannibal.the fact that hannibal lost to that outclassed pussy scipio made me lose respect for him.but don't get me wrong.these were the top three generals in all of history so it's like comparing apples to oranges.

I actually read Adrian Goldsworthy's book. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to read about the armies and sells how warfare was conducted, hint it's nothing like Hollywood portrays. He also covers the motivations both sides and details how Carthage looked at war as something to gain territory and trading rights whereas Rome looked at each struggle as an almost existential battle where only one side could prevail ultimately and it was kill or be killed.
