hmmm,, I enjoyed the presentation but was sad to see that space invaders or Galaga didn't even make it.. WTF..you could've added a shooter game to the list and get rid of WOW. and having angry birds, minecraft, fifa, pokemon, the sims on the top 15 is crazy !! Before you add FIFA you need to add Tecmo football. lol Sonic, Zelda, space invaders or galaga, donkey kong, and asteroids need to be there next year.
I liked the idea of each game being in its own arcade cabinet, then Mario and the others after had weird and at times tacky reveals. WoW had the tackiest. I think all inductees should be in their own arcade cabinet! That would be a cool thing to look at!!!
Although I do agree with all of these selected (and all of the nominated titles), I am kind of upset to see that no text-based adventure (i.e. interactive fiction) games made the list of nominated this year.
At the very least, Zork should've made it. I hope it will be included in future iterations, as it most certainly has a spot in the hall of fame.
I agree with all the inductees. They all have a spot in video game history as either the start of a genre or the benchmark it is measured against. The ones I feel that should have got in(and probably will next year) are Legend of Zelda, The Oregon Trail, Sonic the Hedgehog, and Space Invaders. My personal request for next year is Final Fantasy VII. IMO the best RPG of all time.
Its a mass consumers hall of fame. This hall of fame bears no reference on the actual achievements of games. Just the ones brain dead mass's flocked to.

This is called the 'WORLD Video game hall of fame' but really this is all about the North American perspective.
Awesome. Congrats are in order to these fine games. They really did shape (and reshape) what gaming is today.
