Let me clarify something to you people talking about the hoverboards: This video was put into production BEFORE the announcement of the Hendo. I had already done the main editing and effects by then, but left it alone in order to get the video released on time. But, the Hendo hoverboard will be featured in a possible upcoming video similar to this one.
It seems like most movies about the future always project too radical of a change in a short period of time. I think a far more reliable method of predicting accurately, would be to first figure out what scientists feel is actually possible without violating the known laws of physics, and then try to narrow down what might be probable given research & development limitations. Most of the things that were projected in the movie and have actually come to exist, are things that were possible in 1985, but were only limited by the cost of research and development to create them. Flying cars and hover-boards are examples of things that science still hasn't found a possible way to replicate, hence why it's yet to materialize.
1 – endless movie sequels is much older if you consider James Bond… by 1985, there were already 14 James Bond movies.
2 – the real life hoverboard needs a metallic surface beneath it is nothing like the impossible "anti-gravity" hoverboards from the movie.
3 – come on, Apple did not invent the tablet style computers. Years before IPads were released, plenty of people were already using Palm touchscreen devices!
6:14 is so interesting and so sad! "Queen Diana will visit Washington" – so sad, nobody saw her death coming "President says she's tired" "Jaws Without Bite" – Hilarious that Jaws 19 was reviewed poorly "Pitcher suspended for Bionic arm use"
You see. I've never been a fan of re-makes. The 80's and 90's were gold times of movies and music, which is something that can never be replaced. To me, they will always keep a special place in my heart. The generation back then (actors ) were twice better than nowadays. But things have had a big turn in these modern times. Movies have worsened dramatically. They no longer have meaning, the actors and directors don't seem to care. The script is horrible, they have lost their originality, not to mention the effects. So in my opinion, I think what we need is something that brings our childhood back so we can recapture the imagination and meaning. And a remake, I believe, would pretty much get a fresh new start. That is, if it's done right. At least with the main actors, proper story, and good effects. Not all has to be bad. And since movies nowadays have nothing to offer, a proper 80's remake will leave us with much to think about

At least our fashion style changed for the better, instead of they way BTTF predicted…
The 80's cafe was a good call. 'Cause heck if I've ever seen a 90's cafe… or a 90's anything, for that matter.
