Legend. Plain and Simple. no other words to describe Pete Rose. Cant get in hall of fame but O.J Simpson can? Just goes to show how fucked up the Hall of Fame is.

It is so sad that MLB has no compassion for forgiveness. That is a bad example for them to set. 26 years and they feel he murdered someone. Hell he did not even throw a game. He made a bet. They have never stated they have evidence much less proof that he threw a game. he had a betting problem. So sad on both ends. But I feel for MLB worse. They truly are elitist hypocrites. Just ask Kurt Russell ? He played Major League Baseball. Just ask him how the ethics of MLB execs are. They are hypocrites like no other. KKK has more standings than MLB. At least they tell you were they stand. MLB smiles at you with a knife in their other hand behind their back. FRRRRRRRRREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE PPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEETTTTTTTTTTTTTTEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE G O D D A M I T !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pete Rose was like Richard Nixon. He lied wherever he thought it would fit. Now, it turns out that he did gamble as a player and on his own games (6/15). After a couple of decades lying about gambling as a coach, he finally fessed up to that and then suggest he be forgiven and let into the hall. Yet, he denied he'd gambled as a player, until now when it turns out the proof that he gambled on games he played in and did so regularly has been in authorities hands all along. If it might fit, Pete would tell the lie.

Nixon similarly admitted the cover-up and denied a role in the underlying crimes, which was blown out of the water six months after the disgraced president died by his own Presidential Library releasing the actual tapes of him ordering burglaries and even discuss that they'd be felonies.

These two men were and are sick. To them a lie that fits is just the same as the truth. Never let him into the hall.

Listen up peeps. No reason to argue over his betting on games. The Man belongs in the HOF PERIOD. Show me once WHEN HE ACTUALLY CHEATED. You can't because ROSE NEVER CHEATED. His fucking NICK NAME IS "Charlie Hustle" The man played the game the way it is suppose to be played in ALL ASPECTS. He is a fucking winner till the end. As Bob Costas stated it is "Cruel and unusual punishment".

He didn't JUST bet on a game. He bet on games everyday for years. He managed games based on his bets and possibly who he would be playing in upcoming games. The game was almost ruined by gambling.

That hits record will never be touched. Shame he had to be a compulsive liar, no doubt it's costing him though. I hope he gets in the HoF before he dies, he may want it more than anyone that ever lived.

The MLB needs to reinstate him. They wanna hang this crap over his head for what? It's ruining his life. Pete Rose wasn't even gambling on his own team which is sad, like he was gambling on other teams… Maybe if he was gambling on his own team he wouldn't be suspended. But this whole thing happened year and years and years ago and still they wanna ignore Pete Rose. He deserves to be reinstated, put in the Hall of Fame and given a chance to manage a baseball team

Had he not lied, he probably would have gotten a 5 year suspension and then re-instated in baseball—after 30 years, no reason to hole it over his head any longer

Enough is enough already MLB. Stop this petty, vindictive, DEmoralizing treatment of this great superstar. Babe Ruth, Mickey Mantle, Billy Martin, Ty Cobb, Honus Wagner, and dozens of other baseball stars had skeletons in their closets, caroused, womanized, drank heavily, smoked stogies, and partied and gambled 'til the wee hours of the night and still came in the next day and gave it 100% and most of those others are in The Hall of Fame. Get this man back in baseball, he needs to be managing a team. Look how many young players are lacking exposure to his training and experience because of you "goody two shoed" idiots. And FOR PETE'S SAKE: PUT HIM IN THE HALL!
