I hate when Michael Pena- a guy who has proven he has acting chops (Cesar Chavez, End of Watch), is reduced to a "THAT FUNNY GUY" role. What a waste of talent.
i always love your reviews and i usually follow your choices (they end up meeting my expectations for the most part) but for some reason, i can't get high expectations towards this one, even with it getting rave reviews. i don't know, i look at the trailers and everything looks cringeworthy to me. i know this is supposed to be a mash up between super hero movies and comedy just like guardians of the galaxy but still, it looks more ridiculous than funny. HOWEVER, i thought the exact same thing about guardians of the galaxy and i LOVED IT. i'm definitely watching this anyway and i really, really hope my low expectations end up being kicked in the fuckin ass
I was torn about this movie. Rotten tomatoes has it at 67% which is the lowest marvel movie. However, you guys have convinced me. I am watching this for sure.
Guess Kristian can say I told you so, after hearing so many great reviews for the film. I was going to see this anyway (cause I'm a Marvel ho lol) but now I'm even more hyped and excited to see it. I especially can't wait to see how they utilize and show the shrinking and small scenes, I bet it will be so cool. I thought this would be a mess but I'm glad it sounds like I was wrong, can't wait to see it next week.
I think we need an, "Aw, really?" supercut of Mark. It's gotten to the point where I can see it coming just from the way Kristian starts explaining things and the look of Mark's face as he processes it.
That said, I like Paul Rudd a lot, but I love Michael Pena. Was iffy on this film, but seeing how much you guys loved it, I'll take a chance!

It's only got a 62% on RottenTomatoes and usually it only gets lower with time. Surprised you guys liked it so much.
