Bill is certainly talented. Playing guitar is largely physical. What differentiates guitarists is their ability to use this accuracy to convey emotions. Playing three notes per string in ascending and descending scale runs is relatively easy. What is difficult is changing the number of notes per string and number of notes per scale run while doing this. I dont see much of this during this video. Given that Bill has only played guitar since 1999 of course you wouldnt expect this yet. What would be more phenomenal is if he could also play this left handed or on keyboards. There are few guitarists that I would choose to listen to these days or spend money on given that I can play like this myself on both left and right handed guitars, although I choose to play left because I believe it is more compatible with the way my brain is genetically wired. Most of these guitarists such as Bill and others that play this way need to stop with the long hair. It doesnt add to their credibility. Playing guitar has zero to do with looking like a woman. Players like Tony Macalpine have it together: Proficient keyboard player and guitarist and short or no hair to match. To play guitar like this really is easy: Metronome, work on various scales with no specific set practice, this way it is fun while accuracy improves and you sound "faster". The ultimate is to have very fast scalar runs and yet hear each note as if it is standing still-sounds fast-but isnt, just more accurate. Also work on piano lots. But dont expect to make money on all this. Musicians Institute is yet another scam for networking only-better off to save your money, get a real job, and work on the music on the side rather than depending on metalheads to support you while you couch hop-not a good long term pension plan.

Yeah, but you gotta remember it's a Betcha Can't Play This, he puts more attention to melody in his actual solos, but when it's just to try and be more technically dazzling it makes sense to throw it out the window.
