Okay, my problem with this whole thing is that being a woman is not just about wearing a dress, or painting your nails. If your a guy and you want to wear a dress or paint your nails, go right ahead. It's just that being a woman is so much more than that. You have to deal with social pressures(like about losing your virginity or being called a slut, or about how you dress, how you communicate, what is expected of you, etc.). You have to worry about your period, you have to worry about breaking your hymen, you have to worry about having a child, you have to worry about being sexually assaulted, you have to worry about not having rights or being unappreciated in society, you have to worry about how many partners you sleep with(or else your a slut or prude), you have to worry about being sexualized, and you have to work harder at gaining respect than a male would. To me, it seems that Caitlyn just wants to be able to grow her hair out, wear a dress, paint her nails, and be called "she" but she she doesn't take along with her the full burden of being a woman(and no I'm not saying it's harder to be a girl than it is to be man, I know men have it rough too). There is also just something psychologically different about women than men. Caitlyn had said when she was Bruce, " I'll still be the same person, just in a woman's body."(maybe not her exact words but something like that) but were you "womanly" back then? No! That is why no one expected this. You never acted like a woman you acted like a man. You can't just slap on a dress, paint your nails pink, and get some breast and call yourself a woman.
