I rem it like yesterday I cried when petey jr hugged his dad. Four years later it was over,in the book An American Dilemma it tells where Pete's mom tells reporter that her son bet ball games, and that innocent quote by his mom sealed Peter fate. I suggest if your ball fan and especially a Rose fan the book's for you. As much as Peter my all time favorite ball player, and it's hard for me to say this Pete shamed the game himself , his family, and us fans, but I still want to go into the hall. Its to bad Pete will be on his death bead if they decide to let him in.

To those saying that since he bet on the game than he should be banned, than you must be the happiest idiot ever. He bet FOR his team to win! If he had bet for them to loose than I'd understand but he was betting for his team to win. How in the hell is this even close to a crime? You would think that if he was betting on the W than he would push his players to be better and to win more. Smh HoF is incomplete without this legend.

I've been arguing for a couple of decades of my feeling about Charly Hustle. I liked that knickname they game him because no one, and I mean NO ONE ever hustled any harder than Peter Edward Rose aka Pete Rose. Ironically, his birthday in on 4/14 and he'll turn 73 yrs old. I don't care who the hell didn't like him. He is a Rock. A part of American History that you cherrish for the ages. If he had to take heat for betting, so be it. He did his "time" as they would say. Now it's long over due for this man to get his just do. He made the game better for America. Oh yeah, for those who believed in The Big Red Machine. They never won a title as that unit after Rose departed Cincy. What did Rose do? He went to Philly and helped them to their first title in 30 years. Again, let #14into the Hall where he belongs. Baseball would be better off doing this while Pete is still here.

Why the hell isn't this guy in the Hall of Fame? Ball players have committed more crimes than this. Not to mention he played so many years.

I just met Pete Rose in Vegas, I was there with my mom and he was a total class act! "You only got one mom" He told me before taking a picture with both of us, I wish I was old enough to have watched him play as he must have been the real deal with all the records he holds! HOF bound some day, Charlie Hustle!

I always like seeing footage of games from the 30s or 40's where it's just a sea of fedora hats and the men all have cigars
