This is beautiful,nice place. But i have to say this: I have been looking on some haitian videos and dominican videos, i have noticed that there is a lot of dominican shiting the section comments about them but i didn't see one malicious comment from an Haitian on any dominican videos t. why is that? Sorry if my english is bad im french.

I'd hate to see rich tourists from the US, Canada and Europe make the Dominican Republic a big playground for them, and then disrespect Dominicans and their culture by looking at both as being "exotic"–as if they were at a museum or something, sipping their pina coladas. What would be even worse, would be if these tourists and others made the Dominican Republic like the way Cuba was in the 50s.
Beautiful nature but what lies behind the mask of DR will surprise you… If you go out of the hotel premises be very cautious and careful!!! Leave all your jewelry and precious metals electronics at home!!! It's not sage out there! People with guns all over the place, no law enforced, totally corrupt police will not help you when you are in trouble remember that traveler!!! It's third world country at its best!!! For 1000$ people get abducted here and much more…. Just warning. Stay with your friends at all times if you left the hotel premises!!! The safest place out there would be Capcana built by D.Trump!!!

Would you guys go to Cozumel or Dominican Republic? We are going to one of those places but we aren't sure which.
I love my country once I retire from the usarmy and my civilian career I'll move to DR
