    In the end! These to nations ahve shaped the face of the world, for good and bad in both the politcal and the sporting sense! Good games through and through! The rest is not something that should be delt with on the pitch!

    There is really nothing bigger in England than a Germany game in the world cup. In Germany there are a few bigger games after the England game. (H.W)

    It's good this was produced before the 2010 4-1 demolition of England at the World Cup otherwise would have been a lot more embarrassing.

    I´m from Germany, but I dislike insults here of Germans. Sure I´m proud of our team these days, but I don´t like if we fans act like many british fans who often times loves to insult, I want us to be better and more gentleman style.
    And u can say what u want about the English team, but their games are mostly exciting, especially compared to France or Italy who just trying to play defensively after one goal;- really hate that boring secure style;
    Games of the English team have often many goals, back and forth, great spirit and their fans sing greatly, love the atmosphere when they play;- so go England and hopefully Germany will get the Worldcup 4 the 4th time!

    The English penalty-shootout record, the worst in the world, suggests a certain psychological fragility in the players’ make-up, which can make them hard to hate, though easy to laugh at. No, in the case of England the global distaste is surely related to the country in general rather than the football team. British imperialism rather than English footballing arrogance is the problem. And the late-20th-century morphing of that Britannia-rules-the-waves imperialism into junior-partner status in the US imperium makes them all the more despicable.

    This must be some propapaganda…. We Germans don't even see England as rivals, we're more focused on Italy, Dutch, Brazil and now Spain.

    As a German I don't give a thundering fuck about the England team. Italy, Holland and now recently Spain are our main rivals. Actually most German footie fans enjoy watching the Premier League and have some kind of affiliation to teams in the Prem, but we couldn't care less about the national side. :)

    England just can't hold their nerve. They think there are only 70 minutes in a football match. We want to beat the Germans because in the 90's they were the ONLY team that could beat us. All other teams we could beat, Germans are England kryptonite to us. We wont beat them because we don't play with our brains we play with our dicks. Footballers are not reknown in England for their sagacious capabilities. German footballers however still relax with a game of scrabble after the match. We are weak

    What a load of rubbish. The Germans don't see the English as football rivals. The Germans see the Dutch as their rivals & vice versa. England's rivals would be Scotland or Turkey or Ireland. England are not considered a force in European football. They are not on the same level as Germany, Netherlands, Italia, Portugal or Spain.
