Gifford was a jerk, too. He came into the office where the fiancee of my best friend was the receptionist and he was rude to her and got mad at her because she didn't know who he was, even after he told her his name, insulting her with the snide remark: "You don't know who I am?"

Also, he was the most bland and vanilla football broadcaster I have ever heard. Just a shill for the NFL and the network, is all he was. As colorless as there could ever be, on the airwaves. Glad Concrete Charlie clobbered him, that day. Too bad his ego-mania didn't also take a hit, but what can you expect from a USC product who played for the New York "football" Giants? Certainly not humility and social skills.

Rest In Peace Frank Gifford, from football fans everywhere. Might I just also mention that the team you like holds no weight in this. You do not have to be a fan of the Giants to appreciate him, and mentioning your team is basically making it about your team, when we should all be celebrating his life and his memorable hall of fame career.

At 34 second you can see a referee and assistant frantically trying to catch the field goal kick so the crowd does not get the ball. Those things cost money!

They played on consecutive weekends with the season on the line. This was the first game, one of the bestI've ever seen. Of course, everyone remembers theGifford – Bednarikending.
