Take my savings. Give me back my personal dignity, our national dignity, society's sense of hope, and my country's sovereignty. Your banknotes mean nothing to me. European banknotes have no soul. Greeks do. Greece does too.

I want no part in the Eurozone or the EU. Enough is enough. Hang all domestic traitors and oligarchs, exit the Eurozone and the EU, and restore the truth to the people of Europe:

    YOU SOCIALISED THE BANKERS LOSSES

THERE IS NO GREEK BAIL OUT

IT'S A BAIL OUT OF THE BANKERS WHO HELD USELESS GREEK BONDS (bad investments) yet THE EUROPEAN POLITICIANS NEED SOMEONE TO POINT THEIR FINGER AT, SOMEONE TO BLAME, WHILE THEY TRANSFER FUNDS FROM THEIR OWN PEOPLE TO THE GERMAN AND OTHER BANKS THAT HELD USELESS GREEK BONDS.

AND IN EXCHANGE THEY GET NEW GREEK BONDS IN THEIR NAME, BONDS THAT THESE POLITICIANS KNOW WILL NEVER BE PAID BECAUSE THEY COULDN'T BE PAID IN 2009 and THEY SURE AS HELL CAN'T BE PAID NOW THAT YOU DESTROYED OUR ECONOMY WITH ALL THESE TAXES AND THE AUSTERITY.

We should have defaulted in 2009 and destroyed the fragile banking system that is causing all the mess around the world.

GERMANY IS USING THE EURO-ZONE'S LACK OF A DEBT CRISIS PROTOCOL, OUR OWN LACK OF MONETARY SOVEREIGNTY, AND OUR CORRESPONDING INABILITY TO PRINT OUR OWN CURRENCY TO PAY OFF THE DEBT (as the UK, USA, and all free countries do) TO SEIZE GREECE'S ASSETS AND PERFORM FINANCIAL IMPERIALISM.

WE ARE NOT YOUR FINANCIAL COLONY MRS MERKEL. WE ARE NOT SUBORDINATE TO YOUR THIRD-CLASS-SLOW-MINDED BUREAUCRATS – WE SEE RIGHT THROUGH YOU!!!

Screw you EU. The fourth reich ends now.

1965-2015 – 50 years without Winston, but his words and spirit will never die:

“Never give in. Never give in. Never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in, except to convictions of honour and good sense. Never yield to force. Never yield to the apparently overwhelming might of the enemy.”

Greece stands on the brink of getting it's freedom back … there are very dark EU forces at work there (and here). Greece has two options – continue with the EU and be utterly destroyed as a nation and have their democracy made a mockery of or break free, purge the debt, leave the bullying and arrogant EU behind devalue and she will be prosperous again within months. If they had left the Euro and purged the debt when this crisis started – they would be home and dry by now. The EU has given the people of Greece all this pain for naught more than political ego. I hope for Greece's sake that they turn their back on this truly monstrous and disgusting antidemocratic organisation.

I think that whatever the Greek people decide, we have to respect democracy and assist them. While all this goes on- it is the Greek people and authorities that are aiding the displaced refugee populations get no real help. Whatever happens to the economy, it is vital that Greece is able to stabilize itself. If the country destabilizes, what will happen to the Greek people, the migrants and refugees ?
Also from a tactical point of view- If Greece is neglected and falls apart- I.S (or whatever name they use) have an open door into the European Continent. Then to protect themselves then they may have to cosy up to Russia(and let us not go into their European ambitions.lol) – so does the economy really matter?
If you think I'm just a hippy leftist type that doesn't deserve acknowledgement -then more fool you. Think a little bigger people – our world economy will recover then fall again…there is always some sort of crisis lurking round the next corner. As adult human beings we have to deal with it – that is life. Are we really going to drop the ball on this one just so that everyone can feel more secure about their countrys' accounts??

Apparently Obama has given Hollande a poke in the ribs – watch for some movement now, and hopefully a bit of common sense.

Good job. Greeks are doing what other countries like USA,Canada and many in the EU wanted to do and the youths and poor did try but were beaten. Greeks are starved to death without their money.so they need to print their own money and not wait to come from those who like to starve, torture, scared, blackmail them

I really think that the negotiations between Syriza, the European Union, The European Central Bank & the International Monetary Fund will be successful in the next few days. Both sides are going to have to tweak their sides a little bit, but I do think that Greece will get a compromise w/the EU, ECB & the IMF, especially as these negotiations have been going for 5 months, the ECB decided NOT to cut off it's bank liquidity aid to Greece & that the EU & ECB were willing to sit down & negotiate w/Greece & Syriza & to listen to their complaints & grievances & to learn & to listen to new ideas which they could've considered b4 hand.
