the scene where Alana asks ''where's jack'' and hannibal answers with ''in the pantry'', I always get shivers. It's such an emotional and intense scene
Bryan fuller in a video – a review of mizumuno by whattheflick – did comment that Chilton is indeed alive, the show was just explaining the events culminating the emergence of his scar, just as Masons face was explained.
Thank you for this! So many great scenes in that season! My personal favorite was "the surprise". The big reveal that Abigail was still alive. As she was emerging from the shadow I stood up in my living room shouting hysterically at the TV screen "I KNEW IT, I KNEW IT!!!" … and then she pushed Alana out the window which completely shut me up (yeah that one I didn't see coming).
Another one of my favorites that isn't mentioned here is the hypnotherapy scene between Will and Alana in the premiere. It was such a visual feast. It obliterated all my fears of "How is Will's imprisonment going to affect the general dynamic of the show" … At that point I thought to myself "Yeah season 2 is going to be awesome… Bring it on!"
Surprised there's no mention of faking Freddie's death. I know the character dies much later in the story, but given the set up and especially the image of her burning body rolling down the garage in a wheelchair, I really bought it. It was smart because not only did it misdirect audiences who were familiar with the book (or at least the film adaptations), but having the body burned allowed them to support Will's cover to Hannibal without having to have her actual body on the slab.
incredible, i love your videos and agree with your pickings but i thought you might pick on the final scene, where the girl would have left, unimpeded, had it not been for her trying to shoot Hannibal, with an empty gun. you didn't really chat about that important moment, just before the trigger was pulled and all deals were off
I agree with your picks.I only would have added the scene in the barn because the relationship between the social worker and the patient is such a parallel to Hannibal and Will's.
What are some of your top scenes from Season 2?
No mention of the social worker emerging from the horse? Or Hannibal smelling Will on Freddie? tsk.
"Face Off" hahaha….hahaha…..haha……
Probably one of the greatest scenes in the history of the universe.
Can we see this without the commentary?
Mason Verger's portrayal is all diamonds. The writers rewarded fans with this gift of excellence.

And it did not disappoint…

Are you ready for season 3?
i wanna strangle mason verger. so. friggin. much. ugh.
"We could have had some good funny times together!"
When Hannibal smells Freddie on Will. That was the most terrifying moment.
I like the way the tone of your videos almost matches that of the series
