I thought everyone performed pretty well except Blind, Depay and Rooney. I do not like Blind at centre back, I really want Rojo back there ASAP. I don't think we need another centre back, Smalling is very good, and give Rojo a chance. Depay looks out of position, I think we should try playing him out wide. Rooney just needs game time to sharpen up.
Been looking forward to the new season like all football lovers, but what a let down this game was. Lucky United did it again, but when a team relies on luck it will never win anything.
Yea a bit of rust from Rooney. He usually nets those on the first touch. Mike Smalling was outstanding. Darmian was solid on defense. They really targeted Valencia when he came on and caught him out of position one too many times. ….and…put Depay on the left wing god dammit!!!
as for S Romero i'd not too thrilled if he became our number 1 he wasn't even Samdoria's first choice last season, if you look at his Career he seems to be not highly rated by most but like by some, as the Argentina keeper he's played in Seria B and been a second choice for Monaco and Sampdoria, so would you be happy with him as first choice. obviously he could do great but you could say that on anyone from his career so far it seems a massive drop down from a top three world keeper. it's a whole other topic why De Gea is still here if he's gonna leave that clearly should of all been decided at the start of summer way before the league starts.
