I always watch this video at the worst times, thinking it won't be as sad as I remember. But then I'm always wrong. Smokey's speech had just the right words, the right feelings, the right message to tug at our heartstrings. And it makes me wish I could say what he said. I was alive when Michael Jackson was, but unfortunately, I didn't truly live in the era when he was around in his prime. And that's why Smokey is so lucky, and I love the fact that he actually said it. He basically stole the words out of everyone's mouth.

Well it's now been 4 years and 9 months since we lost our beloved King of Pop and it still hurts just as badly today as it did then!! I still miss Michael terribly and so hope his family is doing & getting on a lot better too. I know his children have been dealt a pretty heavy blow (to have to go through all this so young and then through the rest of their lives) but I honestly believe the one that got hit the hardest with all this is Paris, I sure hope she's doing much better now than she's been doing the entire 4 years and 9 months!! Things seem to have calmed a bit with the Jackson family and I hope (for the children's sake) it remains that way. Part of Paris' problems (I do believe honestly) is all the courtroom battles and antics..etc..this is a HUGE contributing factor to what lead Paris to doing the things she's done (or tried to do) to herself. All of the courtroom & family fights that's been going on and the bullying at school…all of that unimaginable stress, that poor child of a whole 12 yrs old (at that time) lead up to what she went through at age 15 yrs old. It had to stop (it never should have started, really) somewhere, now I hope it has and for good!! RIP Michael, We ♥ You MORE!!!!

my insult had NOTHING to do with what he is or isnt. I insulted you because you should be old enough to have some decorum and class. If he is gay, what does that have to do with you?…what did he do to you?. Im not even a BIG fan of his…but I understand the professional and humanitarian contributions that he made, in a world that is so incredibly negative. He contributed multi millions to AIDS charities. And the best that you can do is to call him a she male. You need to check yourself…

Even though this was on national television, I am so happy people like Smokey Robinson are not afraid to talk about God and heaven. Another person who touched me was Michael's brother Marlon. He gave a powerful speech and at the end of it, he asked Michael if he could give their brother Brandon, a hug for him. Brandon is Marlon's twin brother. He died at birth. Amazing speeches.
