I replaced my old jointer JET 60 A by JPT 310 HH. I need a larger cutting width and helical cutterhead.
Я заменил свой старый фуганок JET 60 A на JPT 310 HH. Причины: большая ширина строгания и вал helical.

Finally they have a helical ! I have to start saving… I really hope you will share your feeling about the thicknesser to.. Is the table stady? Or does it flex when you put the wood true.. I know that models like this can sometime have a lot of flex as the table lifts up on a column.. Thanks for sharing !

Nice. Hope the old joiner went to a good home.

Maybe they fitted two infeed table tops in the jet factory by mistake.

Nice to see the boys got the tablesaw sled tuned up while you were setting up the new equipment.

Congratulations on the new equipment. JimE

    Good morning
Wow, new tools. I am happy for you. 307mm, very nice will you use the planing feature? I believe your big planer is 514mm. Do you think the short table will be a big problem when you join long boards? The purple heart is huge. I have never seen purple heart that wide in the US. Awesome

    Best Wishes

That uni-directional roughness on the out feed table does seem strange – you would expect it to be in the same direction as the infeed table, wouldn't you? So that the lumber resists going back the way it just came. I'd also like to know the reason why it isn't, if anybody does know!

    Congratulations on the new jointer.
I have the same machine. After using it for some time with the original surfaces, I sanded them and now I have shiny infeed-outfeed surfaces without ridges. The wood glides much better now.

It looks like a nice machine. Never seen that kind of finish on a machine table. Does it take the same cutter insert as your planer? Those are some really wide purple heart boards.

Hello, sorry I only speak English. I have a similar model with the currogated tops as well. Jet advertises this as a feature which reduces friction and prevents flat boards from sticking to the infeed/outfeed tables. I honestly don't see much of an improvement though.

Nice new jointer. You'll really like the helical head. I put one on my Delta jointer and not only is it much quieter, but there's almost no tear out.

I have the jointer. It has the same table top. Its a funny finish but does not affect operation. I noticed it did take a long time to clean because of the ridges. If you need to make adjustments to the table I strongly recommend downloading the JET Tools USA manual – very helpful. The manual in mine was very poor.
