Despite me wanting to keep Scotland in the UK, she seems to be the only political leader I can truly relate with.
She wants to rid of us Trident, which will save us unimaginable amounts of money. She is not xenophobic/racist. She's a little bit sexy. She's a realist, she knows she's going to have to ally with Labour for power, whereas Miliband is quite unrealistic/idealistic, thinking he can get a majority.
I hope Labour are smart enough to form a coalition with Sturgeon, she seems to have it all right on my checklist. I just know that no party have a chance of winning in my borough apart from Labour.

This is the genuine conversation I had with a neighbour 5 days ago.

*"SNP? They will wreck everything all they want is independence from the UK, they will ruin this country."
ME= "So you think SNP are a threat to the UK?"
Him= "Yeah yeah, we can't vote for Labour backed up by SNP we need to get the Tories in Cameron he is future"
ME="So we need Scotland more than they need us?"
Him="No! no no way man Scotland can go away and do what they want, we don't need them at all they need us!"
ME="So we don't need the SNP? At all? We could let Scotland break away and it wouldn't affect us at all?"
Him=" yeah they need us, we don't need them"
ME= "So why are you bothered if they break up the Union if you don't need them? Surely you should be apathetic to SNP if you're so sure of England's competence? Why would you be worried of English economics if Scotland breaks off? Why will that, using your words, ruin the UK? Sounds to me like you want to USE scotland rather than accept her polices and hear her voice?"
Him= "But well I don't know that the,.. see the thing is.."*

This conversation occurs EVERY single day.
The Tories just like lot of low paid majority of workers who do as they're told like slaves of the old empire. You can't find money to help the most vulnerable in UK society but for some reason we can find money for Cross rail HS2 and the olympics? Hypocritical

The neighbour in question was a 62 year old Gujarati ex bus driver! Amazing! An immigrant of old colonialism voting Tory when he drove buses for decades! A career that the Tories personally saw to it that it was underfunded forgotten about and generally left to neglect for 20 years! Amazing the level of intellect in my nation. Ashamed to be British this week ashamed.

Such a liar. LETS VOTE SNP AND BECOME INDEPENDENT, BREAKING UP THE UK (as planned by the European elite) SO THEN SCOTLAND CAN BECOME MEMBERS OF THE E.U COMMUNIST ILLUMINATI DICTATORSHIP. No wonder they only get votes from the very young who they have brainwashed over the last 20 years. How can the Scottish not see through all the lies and the deceit

God, I f-ing hate Andrew Marr and all the other BBC right-wing puppets. I've watched shows like the Daily Politics and it may as well be called Centre-Right-Daily-Politics.

Sturgeon is a beast (I mean that in a good way). I am beyond elated that Britain finally has a strong and yet progressive female politician, who seems actually genuine, because she's passionate and knows her stuff. I'm English but I'd back her all the way.

I hope Scotland starts getting the kind of NON-EU migrants that England has been getting the last 30 years, it will serve them right. Let's see how "left-wing" the SNP will be when it happens.

Nicola (is my helicopter ready yet?) Krankie is selling a pup.

An end to austerity is being seen by a lot of Scots as an end to austere living standards, 3-bedroom houses for the poor, better welfare hand-outs and Mars Bars free at every GP practice.

She will also have to deal with the Tories at a significant level. The SNP wiped out the opposition in Scotland – not Westminster.

These muppets want the currency union precisely because the borrowing that'll have to take place will be underpinned by the remnant UK they are so keen to leave behind.

If the nationalists are so keen to go it alone – they should go it alone! Independence…..the clue's in the name.

What splendid politicians we have in Nicola Sturgeon,Alec Salmond, they are in the proccess of running rings round the English politicians,i firmly believe that someday we will ask again for a Referendum and this time the majority will vote YES,then it will be bye bye to scottish oil for the "sassenachs" trident to theLake District. The future for this great country (scotland) looks bright ,so all down south , can swear decry, etc but frankly we are thick skinned and dont give a shit we are on the way up fair thee well "sassys"

Old Nicola couldn't possibly work with a Labour Government now, or ever in fact. Labour have suddenly reinvented themselves as born again Tories….they have seen the economic light and it is a bright one. How long is it going to be before Nicola sees that very same light?

You have had limited tax raising powers in Scotland for the last two years Sturgeon. Why have you not used them to further your progressive socialist ideas? Presumably because once you start taxing people and they have to start paying for socialism instead of depending on subsidies from cenrtal goverment you will lose their votes

Just remember while this bitch is posturing, the exchequer raised £43 billion in revenue from Scotland last year and they gleefully spent £78 billion. Now then you bunch of Sherlock`s, who made up that extra. Pause while the jocks come a wailing and gnashing their teeth about oil etc..Scotland has NO indigenous industry apart from farming and whisky

.The SNP have done a good job in Scotland
They will not damage their reputation with Scottish voters by causing trouble at Westminster.
