i'm not going to say anything bad about her performance, because this blew me away compared to what i could have expected from her. but to everyone saying that this is opera, it's not opera, it's American musical theater, which is an entirely different theatrical tradition and uses different vocal techniques. she's not singing operatically. again, that's not to say she's not singing well, but it's not opera
how can people say her voice isn't up to scratch? obviously its a little more difficult for her to sing opera but thats just because she isn't an opera singer and doesn't practice opera every day. when i watched her sing the last notes she did look like she struggled a little and i was doubtful if she will make it to the end.. and guess what ? SHE DID. SHE HIT EVERY SINGLE NOTE PERFECTLY. and it doesn't mean she's better than other opera singers, it just means she can sing opera just as well as other opera singers.

She's amazing but after hearing those gentlemen sing, they sorta out did her. Great song though.
