The song ruined it for me. (and the sex) It may be what many others want to see and hear but I think it is unfortunate. Can't a story stand on its own without gimmicks to grab the common person's interest? Many people would have watched this without the wired music in the trailer and without the sex in the show.
I was fortunate enough to watch the launch of "Poldark", another brilliant British drama set in 18th century, tonight on ABC channel. Having fought a war, Ross Poldark returns home after three years to find his father dead, his share of estate in shambles, and his beloved betrothed to his cousin. Now he has a different kind of war to fight. I can't wait for next Sunday to come.
I blame author Sally Orr for introducing me to my latest historical "I-can't-wait-to-watch-this-show" obsession. "Poldark" on BBC (a remake of a 1970s TV show). Pretty much I like all things 1700s
The song is Wolves by Rag'N'Bones Man
i really like his smile.
Omg. Aiden Turner is making me feel things again.
can I get this show on the net? I live in the US and don't get BBC channel.
Oh Kili. Falling in love with the wrong girl again.
funny to see Kili all tall and stuff…although, he keeps on falling for redheads…
Yay, Kili is alive
Kili & Georgiana Darcy sitting in a tree!!!
First the vamp starring in poldark, now the wolf in banished… They must have missed Being Human!
Upper left hand corner at 0:24. A not very period-correct burglar alarm.
I was looking forward to this anyway because Aidan's such a good actor, but I'll admit that 0:52 caught my attention XD
Name the BBC dramas set in, filmed in Scotland? Since… oh, since its Royal Charter of 1927.
Scotland funds the BBC and gets near nothing in return.
it's by the bbc, it'll be a load of wank
