    Domo Arigato Iwata San.

He was a true visionary and he was a programming genius. His work on Pokemon Gold/Silver and Earthbound just proved his amazing programming skills, and as a programmer myself he's someone I could look to as a legend.

And when Nintendo reported under projected sales, he cut his own salary in half. That is powerful for a president to do. Not many would do that.

This is a huge loss for gaming. And I'm deeply saddened by it. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends. RIP, and enjoy your everlasting ride on Rainbow Road in the heavens.

Iwata has worked on Mario maker. A game where he wanted people to make their games and make their dreams come true. Like he did

This man was a legend. He was a big influence on Nintendo. Every one should miss this man. It will be hard without this man. But we have to face the facts. Everyone has to go once in a while and that day, it was Iwata's turn. He brought a great legacy to Nintendo. Iwata did bring the revolution that made Nintendo a successful company. R.I.P Mr. Iwata you will be missed. A great man has died today.

I honor Mr. Iwata, He was one of the few people that was able to touch the hearts of millions of children, teens, and adults from across the world.

I came home happy, saw this news and got sad. Then I tried cheering myself up by watching iron maiden, then got sad again because I got 3 more videos like this in my sub box. I've been saying this a lot but my favorite memory of Iwata was him fighting Reggie in the video where they announced miis in smash 4 and amiibo

When I heard this 2 hours ago after watching DBZ Kai, I was fucking speechless.
Both Hiroshi Yamauchi AND Satoru Iwata: Dead in 10 months. Holy fuck.
I got a Game Boy Advance in 2006, when I was 6 (Millennium Child). I mostly stuck to licensed games as I knew no better. It wasn't until 3 years later that I upgraded to a DS Lite. Again, mostly stuck to licensed games until another year later with the Wii. I was allowed to get one game for the Wii (already came with Wii Fit Plus, Wii Sports, & Resort). I wanted Epic Mickey (which I played and hated), but I chose New Super Mario Bros. Wii because of the advertising I remembered from the prior year. The rest is fucking history.
To this day I have never gotten a Non-Nintendo system besides Steam/Origin. So what if they didn't have 3rd party support? They're 1st party games are kick-ass!
RIP Satoru Iwata. We ALL look up to you.
