I've seen this pitch a bunch of times. I wonder, though, what the call was. There was at least one runner who we can see on 2nd. Was this a wild pitch? Or is there some interference rule where he got to do the pitch over?
It was definitely a sad thing for the bird & dependents. But a mind-blowing occurrence. As good as Randy Johnson is/was … if he had TRIED to do this 1000 times, he probably would not have succeeded even once. As much as any other occurrence I can think of, it confirms … "This is baseball. Anything can happen,"

If I hit a wild animal accidentally like that it would bug me for day's and weeks. I just wonder how Randy felt about it.
He's so good he can get a hole in one and a birdie on the same shot.
And boom goes the dynamite.
Why can't I find a better quality video of this? One with more crowd reaction and one with the commentators in it? wtf
Letterman brought me here
I don't think Chuck Norris could have even done that
Taking angry bird to a whole new level.
