    R.I.P.
One of the longest members of Yes
Love the band's early progressive rock stuff.
His solo album Fish Out Of Water is also fantastic.

OMG NOOOOO! Yes is my favorite prog rock band after Genesis. This is awful.
I cannot believe he is gone. R.I.P. Chris Squire, you brilliant bassist!

Chris Squire, your genius in music will be missed. The trips through time and space will never be the same without your bass guitar carrying us up high and further beyond the astroplain and our imaginations. "I've seen all good people turn their heads each day; so satisfied, I'm on my way."

You showed us what real music is like. You are a true artist, a musician's musician, "Heart of the Sunrise." God Bless and Thank-You for your music.

Such a shame music like this has been hidden from the public eye for a while. Chris Squire will always be remembered as the forerunner of a musical revolution. R.I.P

after your top 10 prog albums i picked Close to the edge up without knowing all that much about the band and after a few listens, fell in love with it. its the only one i really know by Yes or any other of his projects, but among the first things i noticed about the album was how very audible the bass guitar was. compared to albums like Meddle (Pink Floyd) or Selling england by the pound (Genesis) i found that way less the case. im really sad he's gone.

    rest in peace Chris.

Such a beautiful soul, gone from this earth. My favorite bass player…gone. He played such a large role in the world of Prog. He was certainly the Lancelot to the roundtable, and he will be missed by me for the rest of my days. May he rest in peace.

The Yes Album and Close to the Edge are still two of my favorite prog rock albums of all time. I was so sad to hear about Chris' passing. His music and artistry meant a lot to me.
