SA crafted this well oiled machine of a basketball team out of virtual no names, which goes to show you that it's not individual talent that got them this wondrous season; it's team spirit and nonstop hard work. It's not five separate guys out here on the court. It's one hand, one organism, and all the guys, from the starting 5 to the bench players are all a vital part of it. Everybody must be able to shoot! To pass! To score! Drive, dribble, read the defensive plays! What can one do against such a formidable, unstoppable beast!?
I hope that as time passes, we will never forget the subtle beauty of this team and how much pain, sweat, and sacrifices each and every member must have made in order to bring this championship home. This is truly a championship caliber team. It is my wish that this is only he beginning of a wake up call for the NBA. The SPURS came out of this gate with their secret weapons, demolishing everything in eir paths, and if the ore teams' coaching and front office staffs are even worth their salt, they'd have paid keen attention to what the Spurs have done. Hopefully this will usher in a new age of team basketball in the league. I'm utterly sick and tired of hero ball, cos in the end, it isn't YOUR point that wins the game. It's he TEAM's points. There's no you on this court. Shed your self or don't bother showing up.
How do you stop a team that moves the ball with such fluidity? How can your defense g keep up when the opposition let's everyone touch the ball almost every trip down the floor? Some people call Spurs basketball boring. But as a basketball purist I call it a thing of sheer beauty. Go Spurs Go!
