She was understandably pissed because she was stopped. After being asked "What's wrong?" She clearly yet respectfully tells him why she is irritated. Instead of saying "Ma'am this is actually a warning citation" the cop takes it personally and loses his temper. What the fuck??? No rude words were even exchanged at that point. How do you get mad at someone that is irritated for thinking they got a ticket? Another case of cop escalating the situation WAY out of control. Cops' egos is way too high and training is shit. Do they not take public relation classes? Its like you have to second guess what you say every time you have a conversation with an officer, because you never know whenone will lash at you like a wild animal. Ridiculous.

It pains me to say this, but as a conservative, the cop was wrong. He created the problem, and said she did. This is not a race issue, it is a cop abuse issue.

This DUMB MF down here said "how not to act with the police" HE ASKED HER WHAT'S WRONG KNOWING THAT SHE WAS IRRITATED AND THEN GOT MAD WHEN SHE RESPONDED!! WTF YOU MEAN HOW NOT TO ACT!?? I guess you mean how not to act when you BLACK! Because it's thousands of videos of white people saying and doing way worse doing traffic stops and not being arrested, on top of that WHAT LAW DID SHE BREAK GIVING HIM AUTHORITY TO OPEN HER DOOR AND PULL HER OUT THE CAR?? I'I'LL WAIT

I dont believe this… I do, but then I dont. Anyone who gets pulled over is gonna be understandably irritated. He asks whats wrong, she explains, and he escalates the situation. You wanna tell someone to put our a cig, just because you feel like it, which is gonna irritate someone even more. Then you wanna pull them out of the car and arrest them. When they ask why they are being arrested, you never answer. "Im giving you a lawful order," he says. Still no reason for arresting. Then He wants to arrest her for resisting arrest… WTF is that. She has to be arrested for a reason to be able resist arrest..

For not extinguishing her cigarette. Uppity negro.

I love her, here. He lied several times, as did his defending fellow officer.

Thank you for posting this extended version only minutes after it was released, and without editing breaks. Too bad local and national news couldn't do the same.

    CODE OF ETHICS

AS A LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER, my fundamental duty is to serve the community; to safeguard lives and property; to protect the innocent against deception, the weak against oppression or intimidation, and the peaceful against violence or disorder; and to respect the Constitutional rights of all persons to liberty, equality and justice.

I WILL keep my private life unsullied as an example to all, and will conduct myself in a manner that does not bring discredit to me or to my agency. I will maintain courageous calm in the face of danger, scorn or ridicule; develop self-restraint; and be constantly mindful of the welfare of others. Honest in thought and deed in both my personal and official life, I will be exemplary in obeying the laws of the land and the regulations of my department. Whatever I see or hear of a confidential nature or that is confided to me in my official capacity will be kept ever secret unless revelation is necessary in the performance of my duty.

I WILL never act officiously or permit personal feelings, prejudices, political beliefs, aspirations, animosities or friendships to influence my decisions. With no compromise for crime and with relentless prosecution of criminals, I will enforce the law courteously and appropriately without fear or favor, malice or ill will, never employing unnecessary force or violence and never accepting gratuities.

I RECOGNIZE the badge of my office as a symbol of public faith and I accept it as a public trust to be held so long as I am true to the ethics of the police service. I will never engage in acts of corruption or bribery, nor will I condone such acts by other police officers. I will cooperate with all legally authorized agencies and their representatives in the pursuit of justice.

I KNOW that I alone am responsible for my own standard of professional performance and will take every reasonable opportunity to enhance and improve my level of knowledge and competence.

I WILL constantly strive to achieve these objectives and ideals, dedicating myself before God to my chosen profession…LAW ENFORCEMENT.

cop asking for the 10th time: "What's wrong?"
Lady finally tells him what's wrong
    Cop: "Are you done?"

LOL why does it seem like this cop was trained in escalating situations unnecessarily?

Why does it seem like I should point out that this woman didn't die during this traffic stop? And now we're supposed to believe that the cops murdered her and made her death look like a suicide? This is complete foolishness. And as far as being arrested in the first place, she could have TOTALLY avoided that. For some reason people fail to wake up to the fact that these police officers are literally putting their lives on the line with each traffic stop. They have little room to allow you to start denying their lawful requests. They deserve to go home to their children at night too. I mean, there is no doubt that some police officers can have d-bag attitudes. I've experienced that more than once. But most of the things they are dealing with on a daily basis are situations that would make most of us want to immediately jump in a shower…physically and mentally. So unless they start asking me to do something illegal, I'm going to follow instructions and complain later. And even if they ask me to do something illegal, I'll probably still follow instructions and sue them later.

They are complete cowards. I am appalled at the bootlicking idiots what think that cops have some "right" to treat people like this because of simple words they say, or because they get frustrated that they're being harassed by the cops, etc.

They asked her what was wrong, and she told them. She has a right to say whatever the hell she wants and they had NO right to arrest her.

Notice how the reason she is going to jail is "resisting arrest"! Does anyone have a flipping clue that this is a bullshit charge? You must be arrested for SOMETHING first before you can "resist".

And then she somehow "assaulted" HIM!? My gosh, doublespeak is the m.o. of the cops.

Bootlickers keep on licking, though. MMMMM. Tastes good.

It's clear that this officers, and the states actions again her caused her severe distress and directly resulted in her death. For a government office to kidnap someone for 3+ days because they didn't like her smoking habit or attitude is criminal. I for one thought the state of Texas was better than that, I'm extremely disappointed.
