This does all feel pretty dream-like, but I assure you that we are all hearing the same things you are, Greedo. It's simply a good time to be a Star Wars fan.
A Star Wars film focusing mainly on Ground Combat! I'm in!!! Don't get me wrong, I love dog fights and everything, but I really wanted to see more ground battles!
I'd like to see ground warfare, although I'm not sure how it could be done. There were two major ground battles in the movies, the battle of Hoth and the Endor shield generator capture. I think Hoth really took the cake, but I think that Hoth was different than what we'll see in Rouge One, Hoth had the majority of rebel sympathizers on it at the time, so a huge scale ground battle was necessary.
On Endor, we see a much different battle. It's a small platoon of the rebel's finest, infiltrators that were trained especially to take down certain targets, that eventually leads to an all out battle between the Ewoks and the Empire. I have a feeling that Rouge One would, and probably should, look more like the infiltrator-esk warfare rather than an all out assault, because if the movie does take place before A New Hope, the size of the Rebels should be smaller than what they had on Yavin at the time of the battle of Yavin.
Idk, it could be huge ground warfare, and that could explain the smaller size of the Rebel operation on Yavin. Maybe the Rebels had a different base before Yavin that they had to evacuate like they would do on Hoth? Not sure, but I am definitively looking forward to Rouge One, no matter what they throw at us.
Also, it'd be cool to see how the Rebels are without a Jedi hanging around. Maybe the film won't include Darth Vader, i'd like that. At least until the very end where the Rebels succeed in taking the plans, and then it shows Vader getting into action or something, right? Idk, he could have more involvement due to the Star Wars: Rebels story line, since he has gotten involved right from the get-go during the first formation of the Rebellion.
I hope we get some reason to why there are a small amount of aliens in the rebel alliance , beyond that fact that there are more humans than aliens in space. maybe the rebels are racist as well (not as much as the empire) maybe the aliens are targeted by the empire more often. the only rebels who are aliens we see in the canon universe are : the mon-calmari some other ones I cant remeber the sullustian and then in star wars rebels just hera the twi'lek and ahsoka as a toruga but its still not many aliens is it…
This really is a great time to be a Star Wars enthusiast. Years and years with nothing, no new announcements on the Star Wars front, except the few and far between whispers of a new Battlefront game. Now we've got more Star Wars news coming in than we know what to do with. I am very much looking forward to the future of the Star Wars franchise.
I love when in Rogue One Teaser the title appeared and those war screams could be heard. That was the moment when I understand climate of this movie, and it is soo epic!
The biggest reason I want to watch this, aside from it being a Star Wars movie, is that Donnie Yen is in it! Hope he brings the fight scenes in Star Wars to a whole new level!
The clothing looks too modern, dark and stylish. It doesn't look Star Warsy. Looks more DC comics/Suicide Squad. Looking forward to it anyway.

I don't like how they're all human.
As long as Darth Vader is portrayed as a badass, I'm fine with whatever direction this movie wants to go.
Oh so THOSE are the Bothans that always die.

I like Star Wars Universe

This looks a lot like that first suicide squad pic to me. (positive)

I first thought your shirt said "NOPE" xD

Can't wait!
I'm excited but also afraid that there is going to be WAY too much new Star Wars content that over exposes the franchise.

Rogue One is already lookibg like a better prequel than THAT trilogy.

I really hope it gets an earlier release date. I can't wait a whole another year for another Star Wars movie.
"Many Bothans died to bring us this information."
