Salvation is by grace, not works. By faith in the finished work of Christ. Once and for all. All sins are forgiven if you trust in Him alone, past, present, and future. He will never leave you or forsake you. This is the narrow way, not the broad way of doing something to be saved. Yes we are commanded to obey, but it is not for salvation, rather is a response to what has been done as a way to live for Him. He who is forgiven much, loves much. How can you love a God who is holding your sins over you? Tullian never says you can sin all you want, rather he says that the way to obey comes thru knowing His Grace and mercy over you. We are told to Grow in Grace. We now serve Him out of love, and, imperfectly. As Paul says in Rom 7: The things I want to do I don't do…" Rom 6 does not teach that we better not sin or else… rather it answers the charge that accuses him of lawlessness. He affirms that we are not to sin, but does not teach that we abstain from sin in order to gain God's favor. No, Christ has already done that. Now we have a new identity in Him which means we live accordingly. And when we fail to, He continues to teach us and renew our minds. Not threaten us with condemnation. Don't thank God you are not like other men (Tullian?) but rather say "Lord have mercy on me…a sinner."

Same old ultra grace TBN message. You don't have to pick up your cross and follow Jesus. There is no such thing as a lukewarm believer. We are all saved if we keep sinning and do not obey. God's standard is perfect holiness and since we can't do it we apparently don't have to walk in the full armour of God and put to death the misdeeds of the flesh by the Spirit, etc.. . Small is the gate and BROAD is the way of this gospel.
