"He did in 46 years what most of us couldn’t do in 146. He left nothing in the tank. He was a man who led a life where the means were as important as the ends. And the example he set made you want to be a better dad, or a better son, or a better brother or sister, better at your job, the better soldier. He made you want to be a better person. Isn’t that finally the measure of a man—the way he lives, how he treats others, no matter what life may throw at him?" —President Obama delivering a eulogy to honor the life of Beau Biden:https://youtu.be/bzb-mR0B5dQ
I'm almost at a loss for words. The depth of human, personal pain, and earnest longing for the country expressed by the President from about 13:00 – 15:00 were just indescribable. Anyone who can watch this and believe that President Obama doesn't love America with every fiber of his being, or that he's arrogant, is either hopelessly cynical, hateful, or both.
It's perfectly fine to disagree with the President. That's at the essence of who we are as America.
But at least to me, it's pretty clear that both he and the Vice President are great Americans, and America is built on a history of men and women like them, and their families, as well as everyday families like any of us.
In the President's case, an historically great American came from a decidedly average, if not typical American family.
If that statement is the subject of widespread, genuine disagreement in our country, I'm worried about the kind of human beings the American People are becoming.
Thank you, everyone wishes they had known him. Everone would love to have a friend like him. Wish he had been the speaker of the House and taught others his character.

a moving and great tribute. my heart goes out to the Biden family.
I really don't give a fuck what you're political views are, this is sad as shit. It's sad when a parent outlives their kid.
God be merciful my prayers are with the Biden family.
Best eulogy I've heard in a long time
