As a Wade fan, got to give props to Bryant for holding him to 6/18 shooting in the second half of this game. Albeit, Wade still finished the game with 35 pts on 12-25 (48%FG) but Kobe really put the clamps on him. He really needed him to get him back after that debacle on Christmas Day where Wade dropped 40 pts on 12-20 shooting while Kobe heavily struggled with 16 pts on 4-17 shooting. Still give the edge to Wade in terms of the H2H action that season.
31/6/5 on 46%FG (40 ppg on 47% over the final 17 games of that season). Kobe really took control late in the season. While I do think Nash should've been the mvp in '07 instead of '06 (LBJ or Dirk, imo), Kobe was still the league's best player.
2006 was a different story though. Wade had an underrated regular season (27/6/7 on 50%) combined with his legendary performances in the ECF (27/5/6 on 62% vs Detroit) and the Finals (35/8/4 on 47% vs Dallas) which was enough to put him at number one, imo.
These 2 are both all time great SG's. Kobe is obviously #2. May surprise some people but I have Wade at #4 behind Jerry West. A few more great seasons and I'll elevate Wade to that #3 spot easily.
