That Tracking Shot though. That whole 10 minute scene you feel like you are robbing this place. Once it was over it took me a minute to realize what had just happened, I had to rewind to confirm it was a long take. Freaking amazing

If you liked this I strongly recommend you to watch Fargo. Whole season is also like a long movie. And check out Hannibal. It has typical tv show complex like cliffhangers and shit but it's very well directed, dark and original, very good performance from Mads Mikkelsen. And season 2 finale was fucking epic. Also check out House Of Cards with Kevin Spacey and it's directed by David Fincher!

Taylor Kitsch could be the best thing to happen to True Detective season 2, great small screen actor who took some bad big screen roles but his last few roles (Lone Survivor, Normal Heart, Grand Sedcution) have helped to revise his career.

Deadwood and two Tom Fontana shows. The prison drama Oz was just amazing, acting and characters were so good and went to some goddamn dark and disturbing places. The actors from that series you see all over the place and they are always great. Homicide: Life on the Street was also fantastic. Completely unique for a cop show, the level of acting and lack of stereotypes for characters and stories made it great. Andre Braugher was hypnotic and kind of an asshole :) Based on the non-fiction book of the same name, also great.

You really should watch Hannibal, I like it even more than True Detective or Fargo. Especially since you appreciate good directing, Hannibal is GORGEOUS, It's the best looking TV show I've ever seen.

Do any of you guys think that McConaughey should have won Best Actor over Cranston? I am very curious because there seems to be a lot of people who thought McConaughey should have won.

I upvoted Hannibal, but I say watch some British TV shows: The Hour, Utopia, Black Mirror, Sherlock, Peaky Blinders, In the Flesh, This is England, Gervais's comedy masterpieces.

Blackadder! Watch Blackadder. I cried with laughter during the 4 seasons, I just cried after the last episode. A masterpiece!

Ah, True Detective. I have seen twice already, and I'm planning on seeing even more.

Chris, you will LOVE Hannibal, you need to watch it and review it. The cinematography, holy shit, it's the best I have ever seen in a tv series, by far. The narrative and the characters are also amazing, and the season 2 finale is one of the best episodes ever made, period.

Ok…. So here we go. I really enjoyed this show and I looked forward to seeing each new episodes. But I didn't like the ending. I'm talking about how they got him at the end. It seems rushed. Maybe there should have been more people involved with the occult members. I felt the ending was too cut and dry. You never get all the bad guys in real life. Some slip though the cracks.

This show is AMAZING. You are right, it's an 8 hour film. I admit, it took me like 3 tries to get through the first episode, but it got fucking CRAZY by episode 4. The "undercover biker" episode was fucking amazing, then episode 5 was even better! After episode 5 we are wondering "where can it POSSIBLY go" but the final 3 episodes are like a kick in the nuts (in a GOOD way LOL). I couldn't BELIEVE how much this show got to me, I never expected to find something as great as Breaking Bad so soon, but season 1 of True Detective was amazing.

Personally I didn't like True Detective that much. Weak story, and an ever weaker ending. On the top of that I found the Rust character quiteone dimensional, although I do think his "nihilistic" thoughts, or let's say quotes, were somewhat interessting.

Fargo is similar to True Detective in the sense that it's very cinematic in it's approach and it feels like a long 12 hour movie. Highly recommended! Besides that you should watch House of Cards, Game of Thrones, and the BBC's Black Mirror. I know movies is your main priority, but we are in the golden age of groundbreaking television and you shouldn't miss out!
