Pros: I thought the first episode was pretty decent the direction and tone of the show is similar to season 1. Colin Farrell's performance is great he reminds me of Martin Hart from Season 1. Rachel McAdams is definitely a great addition as she's a pretty solid actress and her character might share some similarities to Rustin Chole in terms of views and beliefs. I'm glad the intro style stuck and changed the coloring and theme song. This show feels very realistic and down to earth and not procedural like other Cop shows on air.
Cons: Even though the episode was solid i still have my issues. They change the theme song which i understand but the song feels very off and not pumping like the one in Season 1. I'm not a fan of actor Taylor Kistche and kinda think he sucks but he might prove me wrong in later episodes and hope he gets better as an actor. I love Vince Vaughn but I'm use to seeing him as the fast talking, funny, wise ass in mostly everything so seeing him as a calm and calculating villan is new which is okay but I'm use to seeing him in certain roles. The episode at times felt dull but it's only the first episode of Season 2 so it has time.
I didn't think it could possibly live up to Season 1, and just like that I'm already impressed. I'm absolutely sucked into this season and will be looking forward to seeing how everything unfolds. Still not necessarily sold on Vince Vaughn's character and exactly his piece to the puzzle, but I'm already loving they way they didn't make us wait to have all the main characters interact, so as to not having too many moving parts to keep up with separate from the main plot line. The only thing I didn't like about it thus far, was McAdams's family dynamic.. It was a little too cliche and very improbable to run into her destitute recovering addict sex worker sister, and her hippy discordian unassertive Yogi of a father all in the same day. Other than that, this is shaping up to be another great season.
The dialogue is definitely something you don't hear on normal television but I really enjoyed the first episode. I especially liked Colin Farrell's performance.
The characters are great and believable which I was a little concerned about going in. I suspect people will be critical of episode one though, because they will be comparing it to the high points of season one while forgetting that almost nothing happened in episode one of that season either. The only difference was we saw the body at the beginning of the episode. I'm all in.
The only thing that bugged me was Taylor Kitsch's character randomly finding the body. He could of pulled over to get his shit together after what he just did and found the body. Almost wrecking then turning your lights on to see it was just…silly.

For me, was a amazing episode. Season One premiere has the same atmosfere, e while the season keep going, everything was getting better… However, is pretty obvious that this will be a very different season. One last thing to say: Colin Farrel was so kickass
The premiere did its job. It got me interested in the characters and the story especially when they all came together, Farrell and McAdams were my favorite. Vaughn was good just not great yet. And Kitsch's character is good too but he is staying mysterious for awhile so Kitsch is dialing it down for now. My prediction is before the season is over one of the main four will die. And Vaughn's wife is also up to something? I think she might end up being behind something.
