When searching for your life’s purpose don’t stop short of the real thing. All of us, whether we know it or not, were created with a deep rooted need to connect with God. And we will not be fully satisfied until we can make that connection.

As entrepreneurs we encourage one another to seek out our purpose for doing what we are doing. Much of the time we stop at things like…

wanting to get out of debt…
wanting to give our families a better life…
having enough money to help other people…
    desiring recognition for success…

Those are not bad things, but they can become idols that blind us to the fact that Jesus has already accomplished those things for us. He is the true EVERYTHING that we all seek after.

We call it the gospel, or the good news. Once we recognize who Jesus REALLY is, and the inconceivable, unconditional love he has for us, we will never want a second best substitute.

I’ve heard it said by some that the longest journey you will ever take is the journey inward.

I’d like to paraphrase that and say that the longest journey is the one that take you upward towards God because it is never ending. Sooner or later we need to learn that the most fulfilling life we can live is when we recognize that it’s not all about me, but rather all about Him.

He has our backs and wants to give us all that he has which is “everything.” We just need to get out of the way and let him.

Christ's own words brought into this time, as Tullian's grandfather has never stopped preaching and from this pastor's personal experience as our fellow sinner. John 14:6 + Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me." + Absolute liberation. Alleluia. Amen!

I wasn't familiar with Tchividjian, it's wonderful to be surprised by such excellent teaching. He is right on the money about the effectiveness of Jesus' work. I'll be watching more videos of him. The interviewer here is also a pleasant surprise to me. He kept his guest on topic, and did it with the fewest possible words. He didn't seek the spotlight but kept it focused on his guest. That's the perfect interviewer. It's much harder than it looks.
